As a singer-songwriter, Chad's musical journey has taken him to renowned venues and festivals, including the Red Ants Pants Festival, The National Folk Festival, The Montana Folk Festival, Red Lodge Songwriter Festival, Whitefish Songwriter Festival, Cody Songwriter Festival, and numerous others. He has shared the stage with notable artists such as Blake Shelton, Lee Brice, Jeffrey Foucault, and Robert Earl Keen, showcasing his remarkable talent and connecting with diverse audiences. Chad's commitment to the Montana music scene runs deep, collaborating with fellow songwriters, including Dave Rummans, Tom Catmull, Travis Yost, Lee Calvin, Matt Strachan, Christy Hays, Tony Polecastro, and more. This collaborative spirit has enriched the local music landscape, fostering creativity and camaraderie. Beyond the stage, Chad's artistic journey extends into the written word and visual arts. He is a published poet and photographer, with his work resonating with audiences across different mediums. Chad co-authored "Butte: Then and Now" in 2011, offering a unique perspective on the history and evolution of Butte, Montana. His contributions to the newly co-edited book, "Wisdom River: Meditations on Flyfishing and Life Midstream" in 2023, reflect his diverse creative talents. Chad's musical legacy includes his 2009 album, "Wisdom Road," available on various platforms, including his website and Spotify. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Chad holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon (2010) and is a tenured professor at Montana Technological University in Butte.
