Old Freight Road is a bluegrass band performing tunes old and new. standards and originals, hard-driving and ballads. Our love of bluegrass and our friendship make OFR a likable band, just as comfortable on the front porch as on stage
The mournful, high lonesome sound of the southern mountains, done Montana style, Old Freight Road is based in Helena MT. Doug Jeffries, bass, lead, and harmony vocals. Tom Murphy, guitar, lead, and harmony vocals. Richard Baker, fiddle. Wes Walker, banjo/dobro, lead and harmony vocals.
